When Will Summer Come?

I haven't posted in a few weeks. I apologize, although I don't really think anyone's noticed...
March has been very busy and crazy for me. The extent of my sanity is surely being tested!

I know in my last post, I had these big plans for a cleanse... Psh, yeah right! BUT, I am not going to dwell on that as much as what has actually been going on in my life the past few weeks.

I am having surgery tomorrow morning for the excision of my polonidal sinus tracts. I don't really want to subject you to the revolting mind-images that would insue by further describing it, so if you're curious and not squeamish, here's a link for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilonidal_cyst. Yes, after my surgery you can start calling me "Frankenbutt". That's the name Grady's already trying out on me.. I'm definitely not excited. To look at it positively though, I do get a week off from work- I'll be able to finally sort and put away all the laundry upstairs.

Aside from that, I've been working like crazy. Between both jobs I've been averaging about 60 hours a week. I am so tired, and SO ready to go home for the summer, it's not even funny. I am looking forward to working for my friend Z this summer, who's kids I'll be nannying. I also can't wait to go camping, hiking, biking and surfing with my gang! Hurrah!

On a happy ending note, one of my girlfriends is having a baby next week, my other girlfriend just got engaged, my dreadlocks are starting to look nicer, 'break up' is starting here (Fairbanks term for season change), and I got a huge tax return! Hells yeah!
Wish me luck!

Summer camping.. can't wait!

The most beautiful summer day in Psagshak... sigh.
A few of the wonderful friends that I will be reuniting with this summer :)

  2. Oh that is our 'secret' spot in Psagshak! It's sooo gorgeous, just buggy. It's a side road that goes up a hill a ways. The horse picture is on Surfer's Beach :)
